Personal opinion really counts and this is by miles the best movie graphics I have seen this year. It is a 2 1/2 hours long movie but once you start enjoying it then there is no stopping you back. You got to appreciate the really good works these people have put into producing such a smashing movie. Worth every pennies paying for it ..
You just need to sit back, play your favourite music (slow one please), hit on the website link (below) and enjoy at will …. Amazing pictures that literally make you feel like the world is yours at least for now .. lol. Credits definitely goes to the rightful copyright owners
So we finally managed to materialise the plan to nick one last weekend just before end of the year. It was a lucky shot considering that it has been raining days prior to that and even days after the actual camping. We were blessed with a dry environment which is very conducive and the most ideal situation that we thoroughly enjoyed this outing compared to the previous ones. So much being very lucky this time around. Knackered but very satisfied
.
More pixs in my FB (link below) … just too lazy to upload them here .. hehe
Last week was a quiet one but we did managed to catch up with the “2012″ movie which was very worthwhile to see. Rest assure world will not end on 2012 and only god knows when. However it is good start for the the kids now winding down from their school’s pressures. Exams are over and they do finally get to enjoy doing the “non-school” stuffs and pretty soon it will be another year end long school holiday to look forward to. As for this week me and frens got a plan to go outdoor camping again at Teraja, Labi despite going for a lengthy period without one since last year’s excursion at Selapon. It is a “do or die” mission .. lol .. and it literally means that I will be missing the “fun” at home. My brother decided to throw a party for the kids and getting the “Titanic” slide for the purpose. I wish I could be around but unfortunately has to miss out on this one. Not that family comes last but the camping plan came much much earlier so I have the obligation to honour my initial commitment plus it would be outrageous to miss out considering real opportunities are few and far between. Hopefully the rains will subside by then which could be potential showstopper although chances are pretty much unlikely right now. The current tropical depressions are expected to weaken by Wed or Thu so it does look more promising by then.
You might think that this is unlikely to happen but in this particular case it is an exception to the rule. Considering that it happened to a Primary 1 class student is unbelievable and that being my daughter at the receiving end is totally unacceptable. A minor scratch would still be alright but the deep scratch marks left all over her face is a disgusting sight to start with. We decided to make police report regardless if it is considered a bit extreme on our part. The objectives are two fold which is to send clear message to the school authority to tighten up their discipline before things really get out of control and secondly to get the parents to be more responsible on their kids’ misdemeanour. In fact she was lucky to get away with pencil pokings on her body as well and had that landed on her eyes that would be disastrous so to speak. So before the unthinkable things happen then lets us exercise the unthinkable precautionary measures first whether we like it or not.
Spending almost a week alone and away from home certainly has its drawbacks. Coincidentally I have to be stationed at KB becoz’ of the mandatory response time and having to report to the head office within 30 mins if required during emergency situation. To start with I have a suite size hotel room to stay although I feel it is too big for a person to live in. The problem is that I tend to spend virtually most of the time in the room and too lazy to step out for a breather every now and then. It makes it too mundane even to the extent of choosing the dining menus from the same cafe every single nights … lol .. and honestly I do not think this kind of routine is very sustainable in a longer period. I guess 1 week is still an acceptable limit to live with. Wifey and kids decided not to join for the weekend stay considering that the kids are having their exam coming so distraction is best kept to the minimum. But 2 more days to go and I am looking forward to be back home and effectively back to my usual life that suits me better.
Missing a week from work last week was indeed a good break and things are pretty much falling into places at the office as well. Inclement weather offshore few weeks ago was not helping our work situation and if we can finished the remaining critical activities with such a positive progress by end October before the monsoon sets in, then it will be an achievement to live by for the next few months to come before 2010 drapes in.
Honestly, completing my teletop learning face to face session last week @ KL was a breather so to speak although there are few more things to look at towards the end of the year. Workwise the only important agenda at this time of the year is the ever sensitive annual staff ranking exercise and given the choice I would like to back out but what choice I am left with. The only good thing on the cards is probably be our tentative plan to go camping end of November which we feel is long due. But I am still lost in the decisions what to wear for the upcoming end of year party mid November and just hoping I can fix this in time for the actual event.
Ooohhh by the way we got new addition to the family members last week whilst we were still flying over to KL. That would be a moment to cherish for adorable lil’ Nur Ameerah Zahra’, the daughter to my younger sister.
Sometime I still struggle to term with the fear of flying despite the assurance that flying is safer than driving !!. But these 20 facts outlined in below link would probably give us better perspective or rather assurance that flying is indeed very safe. It makes me more comfortable that in case of emergency, there are considerable levels of controls that still exist as back ups. phewwww …
It came unbelievably at the least expected time and I cannot really recall when was the last time it happened with such scale. I must say almost all areas in Tutong district were without any electricity supply. It did not help at all that my mobile phone was totally running out of juice by the time the electricity was being cut off. So we drove all the way from Tutong up to Jerudong to figure out the extent of the problem and that bought me some time to get my phone recharged as well hehe. Amazingly, Jerudong area was pretty much lighted up and we did not dare to venture further to Gadong area considering that it was more riskier with all traffic lights going down as well. I heard they restored the electricity in stages and by the time ours were restored, it was almost 2 pm during the wee hours. Not a pleasant experience with the night getting more stuffier but was real glad to learn that it was not as serious we initially thought.
I guess we are still pretty short handed when it comes to contingency planning and this is not good knowing that earlier this year we have undergone similar problem. What clear right now is we do not have backup options in place in case this disruption kicks in. This is only ‘technical glitch’ and restoring the generator turbine takes quite a while which is understandably a standard procedure. But in the event that real failure occurs, without backup plan then we will be in for a rough ride. Something which the authorities need to look at seriously for future improvement. That begs the question where does the new Bukit Panggal Power Station comes into play to provide alternative solution …. big question mark ????
You would wonder how in the world time can breezes thru’ without us really noticing. A week into the festive Hari Raya celebration and we hardly get to blink and give any thoughts about it. One thing that probably makes me more motivated is that I have only one more teletop submission that got to be submitted end of next week. Juggling the time for more than six weeks since was at best done in an erratic manner .. utter show of personal indiscipline. Office is still a lil’ bit subdued at the moment and surprisingly this is probably the easiest time to manage your work with less distractions to worry. The only consistent things that happen as usual are scores of open house invitations that came thru’ like there is no ending hehe. Oh well .. it is time to sign of for now and busy weekend is closing on us soon …
That was quite a while since my last blog post and such was the low motivation to update considering that we are now already 2 weeks away from the closing of ramadhan. Time really waits for no man huh .. At this moment in time, I am already midway thru’ with my online teletop assignments. Four more weekly submissions to go and I am good to go for the actual face to face session in KL later in October. It requires real dedication and focus but with so many distractions in your way it just gets more difficult to handle sometime. Good news is that my cousin’s hubby is now on a diplomatic mission to Laos for at least 3 years. I guess it makes sense that we will consider paying them a visit during their stay and that means another tick in our travel must do list to take care of for now. We have somehow diminished our creativity to get us busy that it gets so mundane at times, hence it is really due for us to plan something just to get the momentum up and running.
It was probably a lil’ bit too impromptu for another cascade altho’ it was recognised preparing for the cascade materials was a very close call indeed. But who would stop us from signing off in style despite sweating it out with the Jean shirts for the whole afternoon @ KBBC. I guess that bit of style has somehow enlivened the team’s spirit
Today I am on my day 1 of another telelearning which literally means another 8 weeks of virtual learning, a week break and topped with 3 days face to face session in KL sometime 3rd week of October. And that effectively means every week submitting the assignments at the close of every single weeks for 8 weeks. I completed one last year and honestly time back then was really a premium although completing the whole learning event provides personal satisfaction and achievement. I know patience is virtue … so few social stuffs like my blog, FB, twitter will have to wait longer on the waiting lane .. unless otherwise I feel that time is infinitely at my disposal … which with a lil’ good imagination which can change that .. lol. But I hope the coming of Ramadhan could be blessing as well where it is the time when we naturally tend to throttle down the activities significantly. I think I may have to tone down my addiction to FB and too bad I have been spending more time needlessly although this probably equates to quitting smoking for some. Just too many juicy IT distractions these days
…
We have 3 stupid stages of life ….. can’t say more huhu

Have Time + Energy …but No Money

I am staying at this apartment for a week for my ECC duty till next Monday and on two separate occasions I have stumbled across two full grown hornbills in front of my own eyes less than a feet away only separated by the window pane. Looks like they have the tendency to hang around near the aircon compressor and it is very unusual looking at them particularly pecking at the windows for no apparent reason. I must say it was unbelievably a live and amazing encounter and it caught me by surprise by many miles. My regret would probably be unable to take pictures which would make more sense to this rare experience. My next revisit is sometime November, so I will make sure that I will bring my camera along just in case there is another repeat. For now I think Hornbill Apartment holds true to its name more that just another naming exercise. I am sure there must be good reason for electing to use that name in the first place.
Well that summed up our long weekend. We missed two important events that we were really looking forward to go but unfortunately and unbelievably the whole family was struck by fever and incessant coughings. It really caught us by surprise although we coped well but painstakingly so to speak. Today things got a lot better although the kids have to skip school for another day. The reassuring thing is that it is not related to H1N1 although you would initially sense that it has some bearing to it. I must say in a way H1N1 has influenced our fear factor but is it really worth taking the risk even if it may looked harmless at certain point.
Nothing much to update really .. so much bogged down with the usual things day in day out again duh … Kind of similar and familiar cycles from one week to another. But I am already looking forward to another weekend although it is the same thing I will be expecting anyway ..lol. Got footie friendly match this afternoon to wrap up the week as well. I swear to my work mate that I will not be the emergency goalie today due to some persistent pain on my shoulder that does not seems to be subsiding for quite a while. It is bothering me a lot becoz’ playing badminton is no longer enjoyable with that pain still lingering but I still love my weekly badminton routine despite it. Only that I have to be extra careful not to compund the injury further. Oh well regardless of this painful experience, nothing will stop me from getting the most out of this coming weekend
