Probably the focus is now more on the price tag but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Malaysia decided to raise their pump oil price by a significant 78 cents increase and has created displeasures amongst them. Brunei is no exception and living on oil subsidy that skyrocketed last year to B$ 202 million is no small things. Perhaps we should learn by now that these are not renewable energy and if we failed with our conservation then that could spell our pitfall. I’m not being overly pessimistic but we got to change our mentality that easy oil is thing of the past. We’re already struggling with secondary oil/gas extractions and our next best source would be from deep water exploration. So save some before we’re sorry later …
