Busted At Year End

A busted fuel pump just before the year end is the least that you would be expecting to happen.  But then again it was sheer luck that I reached my office when the pump thingy finally succumbed to its wear and tear.  The cost .. emmm .. almost $600 and that was after discounts.  Suddenly I feel my life is inexpensive compared to getting my car another lifeline … it truly summed up my day.  I think I’ll just ease off a bit for now and stop fretting at least till end of year subsides ..hu.hu..

Self Reflection .. Not Again ..

Well !! sustainable blogging is tough and I really mean it.  18 months since doing it on inconsistent basis is a measurable success for person like me who rather reads blogs than maintaining one.  There’re just too many good local blogs which are just plain silly to ignore.  Call me lazy bum if you like but that’s what I’m supposed to be.  I guess maybe I’m too tired doing the daily chores at the office over and over again.   Hence, the inclination to enjoy things is very tempting.  Nevertheless for whatever reasons,  clocking many many months of extra efforts to go the extra length is an optional must.  I’ll take things one time at a time and hopefully that will be a more chewable portion to swallow.  That’s pushing along the limit and not stretching over the limit.  … hold on .. how come I sound like a poetic bum now .. chehhh …

Got lots of Iban frens and this one is sure very worth listening.  The musical instrument is called “sape”.  I guess talents can be spotted every where, any time :) .. happy listening …

Value For Money Buy

Just received my 8gb pen drive which costs me plus handling/shipping (B$ 42) which is a quarter of the one typically sold at local store.   But it needs some level of patience, persistence plus a bit of luck but at the end it finally pays off.  Above all it looks better than any typical pen drive that you’ll easily forget that it’s one .. for real he.he.  and look is equally important rite … now I’m wondering what am I gonna do with those excess”ible” bytes of space .. hu hu …

The Golden Compass

Watched the “The Golden Compass” last nite and the kids thoroughly enjoyed it. Another good one for family viewing.  But “The Spiderwick Chronicles” looks mouth watering as well and the launching is probably sometime mid Feb 2008.

Self Reflection

2008 is just around the corner and that reminds me to pay my professional membership subscription .. darn .. another hefty 109 pounds … kachiing.  Officially I’m happily married for 13 years and I feel old already he.he.. and who say 13 is unlucky.  I survived the 8 months commuting ordeals since relocating tho’ I already got some near misses being mentally tired after the day work.  I’m missing Kg Lumut dearly and the daily view from the highway during commuting is not short being breath taking at the very least.  Sometime I feel guilty for the kids but that’s part and parcel of our life i.e. accepting and adapting to changes.  Maybe they are right.  All my three kids were brought up in Kg Lumut so it’s certainly a special place for them.  Luckily new place is inundated with their cousins, then it’s not a bad proposition really.  That bailed me a bit i think haha ..

And today I finally made a breakthrough … my 1st jog since the last one at Lumut.  I used to jog during my times at Lumut by making my runs back and forth the beach and home.  I really missed those days.  Finally I made my maiden run at my new neighbourhood albeit shorter 600m route.  More than 10 rounds are enuff’ to get you into a spin being absent for many many months.  Best classed as an enjoyable nature run and I’ve a strong feeling that this may jump start my almost inhibited running routines.

I hope 2008 opens up more things and I mean better things becoz’ some time I feel we’re running into the same cycles each year.  With a little bit of resourcefulness and imaginations, hopefully things can be different .. yep different.
